The Weak Interactions Group (Professor Stuart Freedman) in the Physics Department is seeking a part time student to provide administrative assistance and web site support.
Primary responsibilities:
• Process reimbursements and purchase orders, and general administrative support as needed. Room reservations, photocopying, mailing, supplies procurement, record keeping.
• Assist with coordination along with other group administrative assistance at remote sites. Our group has ongoing activities at the Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory in Assergi, Italy and a large underground neutrino detector at the Kamioka Laboratory in Mozumi, Japan. Financial record keeping.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, progress reports and proposals.
• Assist with website maintenance: update pages, upload documents and images, and create links.
• Help with general group organization at Berkeley: help to organize laboratory and offices spaces and meetings.

| Qualifications: |
Required: We are looking for a responsible person able to work up to 20 hours a week. General office skills are required, computer skills are important especially experience word processors and accounting software. Good communication skills are critical and the ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Desirable: Interest in the scientific activities of the group. Activities more related to the scientific and technical activities of the group are possible depending on the interests of the successful candidate.
Location: Offices in Old Le Conte Hall
Duration: This is a year round job, requiring summer availability but there is some flexibility. Multi year commitment is desirable.
Work Hours: 10 – 20 hours a week, adjustable schedule.
